Ken Amador has been involved in Christian ministry leadership for over 35 years. Prior to coming to South Merrimack Christian Academy as the school administrator, Ken was the Head of School at West Bay Christian Academy in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Before that, he was a professor of New Testament studies at Boston Baptist College and spent twenty-one years as a chaplain in the United States Navy until he retired from the reserves in 2020. Ken is a veteran of both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
He has completed his Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Studies, Master of Arts in Biblical Studies and Master of Divinity degrees from Mission University in Springfield, Missouri, and studies toward his doctorate in Christian Leadership from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Hamilton, Massachusetts.
He has two grown children, Trevor and Mikenna, and has been married to his beautiful wife, Gwendolyn, for close to 40 years.
Nancy lives in New Boston, NH with her husband Bill and three daughters. Their twin girls, Charis and Allie, are now in college, and their youngest daughter, Christi, attends high school at SMCA.
Nancy and her family have attended Merrimack Valley Baptist Church for the past twelve years, where all have served in different capacities throughout the years.
Prior to having children, Nancy worked as a Systems Administrator in Long Island, NY. Transferring to New Hampshire, Nancy continued her career as a Systems Administrator until having her children.
For the next thirteen years Nancy was a full-time homemaker and homeschooling mom, but recently has joined the SMCA community serving as the Office Manager and Admissions Director.
Rachael earned her Bachelor of Science from Canisius University in Buffalo, NY and worked as a Scientist in the Pharmaceutical Industry for over 13 years until she and her husband welcomed their first child. For the next 11 years, Rachael volunteered at church supporting various financial and child ministries. Through these ministries at church and raising three children, a passion for teaching and mentoring youth was realized and Rachael began her journey working in the school setting, teaching Science, Math and Health at Lexington Christian Academy. Rachael considers it a privilege to be able to share her joy for The Lord and commitment to supporting our students at SMCA through working in the Guidance Department focusing on students' academic counseling needs.
Rachael lives in MA with her family, but grew up in Western NY and remains an avid Buffalo Bills fan - Go Bills! If it is not football season, Rachael loves spending time outdoors with her family swimming, playing basketball or exploring the beautiful states of New England.
